Steve Stephanou
Deputy General Manager

 

Born and raised in Manchester, Steve is currently the Deputy General Manager for the Town of Manchester. In this role, he assists the General Manager in providing administrative management of Town operations and helps to ensure the effective delivery of services to the community consistent with the policy of the Board of Directors. Steve has a passion for making government more effective and responsive to the needs of the community it serves.

Prior to joining the Town, he worked for the City of Boston, serving in various roles including Deputy Commissioner of Administration and Finance and Management Analyst. He began his career with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, serving as a Program Analyst.  Steve holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from New York University, a B.A. from the University of Connecticut and is a proud graduate of Manchester High, Illing Middle, and Waddell Elementary.

Steve loves history, being outdoors, the Red Sox, Patriots, and UConn basketball. He and his wife Kelly live in Manchester with their new son Liam and crazy but loveable dog Lincoln.
